This DC in board is for A1466 Macbook Airs from 2013-2015. The 2015 Macbook Air is still being manufactured into 2018. This part will not fit 2008-2012 models.

A bad DC-In board can

• Keep the green/orange light from coming on the charger.
• Prevent audio from working. 
• Keep the left USB port from working.
• Disable the backlight by causing SMC_LID to be held low.
• Cause the laptop to think it is closed.

This cable very commonly corrodes.
